Five institutions across four countries: full-time course checks
Checked 6 October 2026. These five institutions cover data science, data analytics and business analytics routes; they do not all offer two separate degrees with those exact titles. EDHEC is a business school. This is a programme-fit shortlist, not a university ranking.

Availability means more than a start date. A published intake and Apply button establish an advertised route, not a reserved place. We have not logged into application portals or submitted applications. Reconfirm remaining seats, fee year, scholarship deadlines and refund terms before making a payment.
How to use these five options
First eliminate courses whose required subjects, degree level or work experience you cannot document. Next compare the assessed project with your intended work. Finally compare the cash you need before departure and the full study period. A course with a promising name can fail any one of these checks.
For Indian credit systems, request equivalence guidance with your transcript and syllabus; do not apply a universal CGPA cutoff or invent an ECTS multiplier. The admission decision remains with the institution.
Questions to resolve before accepting an offer
- Which start date and course code does this offer cover, and is teaching on campus throughout the academic period?
- Are prerequisite modules mandatory, and can any required preparatory teaching add time or cost?
- Is the internship compulsory, optional or competitively allocated? Who finds it, and what happens if none is secured?
- What is the total tuition, levy, deposit and payment schedule? Which amounts are refundable after refusal, withdrawal or deferral?
- Is scholarship consideration automatic or a separate application, and does its deadline precede admission?
- What academic and language conditions remain outstanding, and when must final evidence arrive?
Choose an entry route before comparing university names
The following sections retain additional UK and Irish programme examples alongside the five-institution comparison above. Start with your academic preparation, then compare learning goals, intake and cost. The selection is not a ranking, an exhaustive university list or a prediction of admission.
If you are still deciding between the subjects, read the main Data Analytics vs Business Analytics guide. It explains career tasks, coding and mathematics, with an original decision exercise.
Three useful starting questions
- Changing disciplines? Look for foundation teaching and check subject prerequisites; “conversion” does not mean “no maths needed”.
- Already technically prepared? Compare the compulsory modelling, optimisation and computing depth with your existing skills.
- Want business applications? Check whether projects assess recommendations, constraints and communication as well as technical analysis.
Five additional programmes to investigate
Official sources checked on 6 October 2026. Each row labels what is published and what still needs confirmation. Fees are in their original currency, before living costs. Compare exact fee years and categories before converting to rupees.
| Programme | Academic route and learning evidence | Intake, duration and fee evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Maynooth: MSc Data Science and Analytics Ireland · MHR64 | Conversion route. Current listing specifies a 4-year honours degree or equivalent, 2H1/65% minimum, and three/four specified maths modules at 60% or above. Maths fails/repeats are excluded by the published rule. | 12 months; September commencement; listing gives 27 August 2027 closing date. A current 2027/28 non-EU fee was not established in this review. |
| DCU: MSc Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Ireland · DC560 | Normally NFQ Level 8 2.1 or equivalent in a relevant discipline; exceptional 2.2 cases considered individually. | 12 months. Header lists January and September 2027 and says January applications accepted. €23,000 non-EU fee displayed, but its fee year is not explicit. Older 2026 deadlines remain elsewhere on the page: confirm the relevant cycle. |
| UCD Smurfit: MSc Business Analytics Ireland | Minimum second-class honours or equivalent with quantitative techniques. Business applicants need MIS, maths or other quantitative courses. GMAT/GRE may be requested at the director’s discretion. | 12 months full-time; September 2027. Published 2027/28 full-time non-EU tuition: €26,710 — official eligibility and fees. |
| Manchester: MSc Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence UK | Normally UK first/2:1 or overseas equivalent in a quantitative subject; mathematical modules throughout the degree matter. Programming is desirable. Compulsory content includes Python, machine learning and optimisation. | 2027 entry page. 2027 fee not yet set; £35,700 international tuition is explicitly a September 2026 reference figure, not a 2027 quotation. |
| Bath: MSc Business Analytics UK | High quantitative content is required; programming experience is an advantage. Compulsory study includes statistics, databases, optimisation and machine learning. Internship places are competitive, not guaranteed. | 1 year; September 2027. Overseas deadline displayed: 30 June 2027, subject to earlier closure. 2027/28 overseas tuition is £32,300; see the official fees link in the five-institution comparison above. |
Read the specific rule before using an overview. Maynooth’s departmental description mentions a degree with mathematical content, while its detailed course listing gives the stricter module and grade conditions shown above. This is why a conversion-course label alone cannot confirm a commerce or engineering applicant’s eligibility.
Three further examples already compared in our main guide
- Bristol MSc Business Analytics: fees, academic starting point and project.
- Galway MSc Business Analytics: fee and IELTS components.
- Galway MSc Computer Science—Data Analytics: advanced computing route.
The main guide contains the three-programme fee and IELTS tables, so you can move from the broader shortlist to a more detailed comparison without relying on university names alone.
Turn the shortlist into a decision sheet
Create one row per programme with four fields: academic evidence, learning gap, complete budget and unresolved question. A course remains provisional until its prerequisites and funding requirements are understood.
- Eligibility first. Use your transcript, grading scale and syllabi in the eligibility worksheet. Do not automatically equate one university’s CGPA with another’s percentage.
- Compare assessed learning. Record compulsory modules and project format with the course-module worksheet. A possible internship is different from an allocated placement.
- Build a dated budget. Use confirmed tuition and personal living estimates in the rupee-budget exercise. Leave an unconfirmed future fee blank; an older fee is a planning reference only.
- Check the intake. Save the dated programme page and any admissions reply. Separate an advertised start date from an applicant-specific confirmation that applications remain available.
Two hypothetical uses of this shortlist
Commerce graduate interested in dashboards and commercial decisions: inspect the quantitative subjects on the transcript, then compare each business-oriented programme’s actual prerequisites. Do not infer eligibility from BCom/BBA alone. A conversion route may be worth investigating only if its maths conditions are met.
Engineering graduate with programming experience: compare how much new modelling, optimisation and domain application each course adds. If technical depth is the priority, examine the computing-focused option as well as business-school programmes. These profiles are invented examples, not admission or employment outcomes.
Keep destination and career checks connected
For Ireland, use our application and post-study checklist. For another technical direction, compare the UK Data Science and AI guide. If widening the destination search, investigate the Germany engineering transition or English-taught France example, checking their requirements separately.

Sources and review limits
Each programme row links to its official source. Maynooth’s additional departmental explanation is available on its MSc overview page. This is a source-based shortlist, not confirmation from admissions. Programme names, fees and deadlines can change; details with unclear intake or fee years are marked explicitly.
